RYUJI TAKEDA

ブルワリーを立ち上げたのはRYUJI TAKEDA。事故で大怪我を負い、一命をとりとめた経緯から、リスタートした人生で「本当にやりたいことは何か」を考えました。RYUJI自身が感じていた「世界中を旅し、様々な国の文化に触れる中で感じたクラフトビールの魅力」と「世界のフェスティバルで感じた音楽の魅力」を掛け合わせたブルワリーを創設することを決意。
ビール醸造はガハハビールで修行、音楽はDJ経験の深いXanを共同ファウンダーに迎えることで
質の高い音楽体験を目指し、ビールと音楽のどちらの要素も妥協せず準備を進めました。
文化の交流や新しいハブになるような場所を目指し、海外の方もアクセスしやすい日本の流行の中心地’原宿’を拠点に。研究心を持って造った美味しいビールを提供し、合わせてブルワリー内で行われるDJ LIVEを世界に配信していきながら、
世界中の人々を繋げるきっかけを創出していきます。

The brewery was founded by Ryuji Takeda. After surviving a serious injury in an accident, he reevaluated his life’s purpose. Ryuji decided to create a brewery that combines “the allure of craft beer experienced while traveling around the world and encountering various cultures” with “the charm of music felt at festivals worldwide.” He trained in beer brewing at Gahaha Beer and welcomed Xan, who has extensive DJ experience, as a co-founder to aim for a high-quality music experience. He focused on both the beer and music elements without compromise, aiming to create a venue that serves as a hub for cultural exchange and is welcoming to international visitors, located in Harajuku, the epicenter of Japan’s trends. By offering delicious beer crafted with a spirit of inquiry and broadcasting DJ LIVE performances from the brewery to the world, he aims to create opportunities to connect people worldwide.

FARAGASSO ANGELA

FARAGASSO ANGELAは、King's College Londonでロボティクスの博士号を取得し、東京大学で研究員および助教の経験を持つブルワリーの共同設立者です。
ロボティクスの知識を取り入れながら、クラフトビールの醸造に新しい風を吹かせます。
Tokyo Beer Labを、文化的な繋がりを広げていくための新たなコミュニティとして育てるために、ANGELAの経験や興味を注ぎ込んでいきます。

Angela Faragasso, with a robotics PhD from King's College London and experience as a postdoctoral and assistant professor at the University of Tokyo, co-founded Tokyo Beer Lab. Her expertise in robotics translates into her passion for craft beer, merging innovation and creativity. The brewery reflects her dedication to blending technology with the artistry of brewing, showcasing her diverse interests and commitment to community.

Xan Varcoe

エールビールと音楽をこよなく愛するテクノDJ、Xan Varcoe。酔っ払いの達人であるXanならではの視点で、東京初の醸造所とDJバーを掛け合わせたTOKYO BEER LABに15年以上のDJ経験と長年のビールへの愛を注ぎ込み、お酒好きのための空間を演出していきます。
Xanのビジョンの1つは、音楽のアンダーグラウンドなシーンを発展させること。まだ世に知られていない才能あるアーティストに発信の場としてRadio Broadcastを提供することで、新たなチャンスを掴む人が増えることを願って。国内外で定期的に開催してきたフェスティバルの知見を活かして、Tokyo Beer Labで鳴る音楽と、その音楽を聴かせたビールを世界へ羽ばたかせていきます。

Xan Varcoe, a visionary DJ with over 15 years on the decks, blending beats and brews from the start. As a festival founder and a seasoned ale drinker from the UK, Xan masterfully juggles his love for dancing with his fear of hangovers.
Inspired by Japan's pivotal role in techno and the craft beer revolution, he is embarking on a our unique journey: Tokyo's first brewing DJ bar.
The musical maestro is celebrated his first label release last year and runs regular music events in Japan and abroad. Xan's true passion lies in elevating the underground scene, offering a stage for emerging talents and pioneering new musical vistas. You can catch this drunken master mixing drinks and tracks in the Lab.
